My journey this year has been amazing and I am feeling like this next performance is a reflection of my personal life...leaving corporate america for the artist's life was a huge step I do not regret, but as I began to fervently pursue my dance career (performance & teaching) the darts of distraction have been flying. Following on from the (ironic) success of last year's festival, Sound
of Failure 2008 brings together over forty local and international
sound artists in numerous venues to surprise, shock and entertain.

What do you think happens when a group of artists are taken out of their comfort zone and given a kit of unfamiliar materials? The Art of Thought, a concept from artist Kim Abeles, answers this question. First employed by giving artists a kit of identical materials, each artist ventured down a different creative path. This tradition is being re-introduced while moving the concept forward with all new artists and all new base materials. For more information please go to http://web.mac.com/breagallery/Site/Current_Exhibition.html
The opening reception will be on August 9th from 7-9. There is no cover charge and we will be serving hors d'ouvres. Hope to see you then!
