Out fear I can’t

God, would I love to be a full time artist. Wait, how would I know I would love that if I never tried. Tell me how it goes…You wake up in the morning and rush to your studio to finis one canvas and start the new one. Yeap, that’s it! You have a few started and they all are at the different stage of completion, and you pick up your brushes and your knives and your pallet and off you go creating?

Thinking and Watching

Jeff Spahr-Summers and Anna Maly wrote a poem together.
Anna explains how it happened:

" We were writing short notes to each other, talking about little things. One day Jeff wrote about his day, saying how tiresome it was, and how he needs some down time. "What comes to mind is "thinking, and watching"" - he wrote. Hmm, sounds poetic, I thought, wrote the first two lines, and sent it to him, inviting to continue. We were adding two, four or more lines back and forth for a couple of weeks till the poem seemed complete. Enjoy the result of this effortless and fun collaboration”.

Let's meet (as in communicate)

Dear fellow Artists.
The idea of building this website came from strong desire to build a community. The community implies interaction. Interaction is a cornerstone of any relationship. Relationships define the community.
Why are we not interacting? Friends, we are artists, we thrive on feedback, and we need re-assurance. Just having talent is very different from being recognized as a talented artist.
Commenting on each other’s work will do the trick, trust me. I personally would not believe my friends and family when they told me time and again that I am a true artist. Their opinion was contingent on our friendship, I thought. They were not objective, I thought.
