AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

For a few moments...what seemed like years, color was out
of my life. Now color has come back and is sortof a mirror
that shows the beautiful color coming from within...everyone
deserves to have some form of color in their lives. As artists
some of our power comes from being able to put color in
people's lives..I say keep doing it all of you.....

There comes a point where one has to take a stand and decides to
cross over. I refect decisions with my life choice through my work.
As an artist, inorder to create one has to communicate....the crossing
a metaphor that I've connected to... challenge and rebith are necessary
for evolvement...

The living energy of the planet is in turmoil..
the signs are apparent and are even making
themselves more known. Sometimes with art one
can get to connect with the global flow just
by connecting with the inner, through a picture..
a thought..just being

All of the recent misinformation brought into my life I've reflected on and upon reflection
I've found that it will eventual lead to real info, all of the miss will run amiss...

A simple dedication to an old friend.
I am pleased that I met him....

This part of a series of portraits that I am working on.
At first I did this series as an exercise with memory.
I believe that part of an artist's reason is to bring
about a spirit...this is a part of veneration. I feel that
this is important

I feel that every stroke, every movement has a significance
with a personal connection with haiti all art conveys power..

A haitian spirit named guede has power over life and death.
The funny thing is that his sacred symbol looks like a dollar sign.
I equate this to life and death...
I think that this makes interesting subject matter
for a painting.....

Building on the theme of the Buddha,
building bridges and breaking down barriers.
When I connect to Buddha spirit, I always
think of Ganesh....

Whenever that I hear of something being blue
I associate it with sadness. The way that I walk
in life does not allow for me to be blue. A painting
can send a powermessage and right now I am
changing a thought with painting.
A heart that is blue can be reborn....this piece
is meant to convey this...
