"Don't worry about the form"

Botkyrka konsthall's international artist's book exhibition is open for contributions - books and texts in various forms - by artists all around the world. This is the second edition of the exhibition Labyrint opening on November 7th 2009 in Sweden.

The title of the exhibition, Writings and Observations, refers to the artistic practice of writing as a way of seeing, a way of altering the world.

The call for submissions deadline for Toronto's The Images Festival is coming upon October 30th! This is a postmark deadline. The FINAL deadline will be two weeks later on November 13th.

The 3rd edition of the Images Festival will run from 1 to 10 April 2010. We are happy to look at work work of any length, on most any format (from Regular 8mm to 35mm to various video formats). The Agency is seeking a new Administrator following Maria Agiomyrgiannaki’s imminent departure to develop her work as a producer and project manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with strong organisational skills to join the Agency and contribute to its future.

Art philosopher Zanete Bukarte in collaboration with Private banking is taking submissions for the December 2009 benefaction art auction. The auction will be held in Riga, Latvia (Europe) and will include international artists from all the world; invitations will be sent to over 100 VIP private banking clients, collectors, and fellow artists. Auction visitors will have the option of contacting any participating artist with feedback or opportunities, as well as bid. All artwork accepted to auction will be presented online and in printed brochure prior to the exhibition so auction visitors may choose what they like in good time. Auction will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009. Submission Fee: $30 for up to 3 images, and $10 for every extra work.

Media Arts Center San Diego is now accepting submissions for our new Film Festival Poster Competition. The deadline for all submissions is November 25, 2009.

Los Angeles Women's Theatre Festival
A Multicultural Festival of Solo Artists is accepting SUBMISSIONS from male performers for it's Seventeenth Annual Festival March 25-28, 2010

LAWTF has expanded its submissions for Festival 2010 to include one program for male solo artists. We are seeking male solo performers of all ethnicities and ages with original performance pieces: actors, performance artists, dancers, comedians, storytellers, singers and performance poets… from throughout the world.

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Brazil is accepting short-films on corruption to a contest. Deadlines: October 16 for short movies (5 to 10 minutes) and October 30 for one-minute movies.

Under the theme "Fight against corruption: a commitment of all," the contest aims to promote reflections on the importance of active citizenship in monitoring and controlling public power. Works should be unpublished and addressed to the general public. Entries can be fiction, animation, documentary, and more.

The One-Minute Movies category will award up to 20 videos that last no more than 60 seconds (in any media platform). The Short Movie category will select two projects.

TAG Gallery, a successful artists' co-op located in Santa Monica,
offers a selection of art including paintings, sculptures, and
photography created by local emerging and established artists. The
gallery is currently seeking artists who have a strong body of work
and professional work ethic.

As a member of TAG you will have one four week show a year, have
access to our mailing list, be included in our newsletter, have
images and bio on our website and have the opportunity to build your
mailing list and attract new buyers. TAG has been in operation since
1993 and has built a strong following from the community. Our
receptions are well attended and we enjoy consistent press exposure.
