Angeles (LAX) and LA/Ontario International Airports for
the Los Angeles World Airports Arts Exhibition Program.
We are interested in providing curators and artists
with the opportunity to educate, entertain and inspire
travelers by presenting artwork by local and regional
artists through temporary exhibitions and installations
in domestic and international terminals. The aim of the
Arts Exhibition Program is to enhance and humanize
the overall travel experience for millions of people
every year.

Call to Artists for Arts in the Park (Ventura, CA)

Call To Artists for Arts in the Park, formerly the Ventura Art Festival

The Ventura Art Festival has announced that it will now become part of
ArtWalk in Ventura.. The event, now known as Arts in the Park, will
take place during ArtWalk, Saturday, October 16 from 1:00 p.m.-9:00
p.m. and Sunday, October 17 from 12:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m. at Plaza Park
in downtown Ventura.

Artists of all original fine art and fine craft disciplines may
apply. Artists must submit one application per category. All entries
will be juried. Digital images of artwork required for jurying. The
show will be juried by Michael Kelly, fine artist/designer and
Director, Ray Bradbury Theater and Film Foundation.

$25 Application Fee. Upon acceptance the application fee will be
applied towards the booth fee.

JUROR
Sherri Warner Hunter is full time studio artist who creates public, private and community based commissions, as well as fine art. Her art degrees are in sculpture and drawing from the Kansas City Art Institute, MO, and Claremont Graduate Universities, CA, but her training in mosaic and concrete has been through self exploration for more than two decades.

Hunter is known for teaching sculpture, concrete, and mosaic workshops around the country and at her studio in Bell Buckle, TN. She has also authored two books on working with concrete: Making Concrete Garden Ornaments and Creative Concrete Ornaments for the Garden, both published by Lark Books.

12th Paris Festival of Different & Experimental Cinemas
December 7th - 12th, 2010

Organized by the COLLECTIF JEUNE CINEMA (CJC), French cooperative for distribution, the Paris Festival of Different & Experimental Cinemas is devoted exclusively to
experimental, different, avant-garde & art cinemas.
For its 12th edition, the festival opens an international competition :
- Submissions are open to all recent (2009-2010) experimental films
- Any length and format are eligible : S8, 16mm, 35mm, video...
- All films in a language other than French must be subtitled in French (unless dialogue or commentary is unnecessary for comprehension and appreciation)
- Each entry must be accompanied by a DVD Screener
- Submissions must be postmarked no later than September 15th, 2010 -

Sabay Curatorial Space, Jackson Heights, Queens, seeks wall works

Sabay Curatorial Space scheduling shows for next season...
If any of you are in the NYC area and would like to have a solo show at a
cafe in Jackson Heights, please let me know. Only wall works, no larger than
40"x 50" or smaller than 8x10". There is no charge for these shows, but you
must be able to bring the work to the cafe the day of the hanging and stay
to help install the show. Nothing can be mailed either to me or them. (Later
this may be possible, but there will be a charge if art is shipped or must
be installed without the artist's help.) There have not been sales from
these shows, but it is a NYC exhibit to put on your resume and also a
wonderful reception with Thai food & wine or beer for you & your guests. The
