Artists Alliance (AAI) is pleased to announce its Open Call for the Lower
East Side Rotating Studio Program (LES-RSP) 2011-12 sessions. Supported by
the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the
City Council, the LES-Rotating Studio Program provides two FREE six- month
residency sessions to 8 visual artists a year. Additionally, beginning in
2011, Artists Alliance (AAI) and Residency Unlimited (RU) are joining forces
to support each other's programs. Residency Unlimited will provide studio
visits and specific networking support to the artists participating in the

Bilingual Photography Workshop for individuals that are
blind and partially sighted
PAINTING WITH LIGHT

@ El Museo del Barrio, Wednesdays 4pm—6pm

Join us for a photography workshop for individuals who are blind and
partially sighted, led by Sol Aramendi, educator, artist and founder of
Project Luz. The participants will create photographic images using
flashlights and will collaborate to develop themes and narratives for the
project. The workshops will culminate with a student exhibition in El Museo
del Barrio’s Youth Gallery, presented in conjunction with El Museo del
Barrio’s Bienal: The (S) Files. Workshops are designed for adults and
offered free of charge.

Machine Project Summer Intern 2011

A 10-week internship, June 1st to August 10th, 2011.

Machine Project is looking for a full-time paid intern this summer! (Thanks to the Getty Foundation’s Multicultural Undergraduate Internship Grant.) We’re looking for someone who is interested in event production for a small + feisty non-profit arts and educational space.

The internship is a full-time (40 hours/week) position, for a consecutive ten-week work period between June and August, 2010.
It is a REQUIREMENT that you’re already familiar with Machine and have attended events here in the past. You will also need a car.

The 6th Annual Pasadena ARTWalk is accepting artists submissions.
PASADENA, CA - The Pasadena Playhouse District Association is inviting artists to submit artwork for the 6th Annual Pasadena ARTWalk. This year’s Pasadena ARTWalk will take place on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 11 am until 5 pm at El Molino Ave. between Colorado and Green St.
All artists are welcome to apply to exhibit in the Pasadena ARTWalk. Artists submitting work must fall in one of the following categories:
