Call for Artists - Governors Island Art Fair

The Governors Island Art Fair is accepting submissions for its 4th annual exhibition in September. Governors Island Art Fair is dedicated to promoting independent artists. Governors Island is only 800 yards (a 5 minute free ferry ride) from Lower Manhattan, and even closer to Brooklyn. It is, perhaps, the very last great expanse of undeveloped space for public use in New York City.

Then I saw this spray-painted message glistening beneath the rain-swept veneer of the asphalt. Was walking the remedy I needed to get out of my funk?

We are pleased to announce that the application period is now open for ARCOmadrid 2012 to be held from 15th to 19th February 2012. Following the positive response to the changes introduced in 2011—reduction in the size of the fair, a greater emphasis on quality of exhibiting galleries and works on display and a firm commitment with collecting—quality continues to be the top priority for the upcoming edition. For the future selection of galleries, the booths at the last edition of the fair will be carefully analysed, together with the gallery's programme and the project for ARCOmadrid 2012.
