Vleeshal Center for Contemporary Art presents experimental contemporary art. With our program, we want to surprise and encourage reflection amongst the widest possible audience—local and international. At Vleeshal, promising artists can broaden and deepen their practice by developing new works, in dialogue with the specific context in which they are shown. The QM-Jerome Foundation Fellowship for Emerging Artists will grant two visual artists 20,000 USD each, individual studio space, professional development consultations, and close mentorship from QM staff members working toward the artists’ projects. Fellows will have individual studio space from January 2024 through January 2025, as well as a solo-exhibition in 2025.
