Los Angeles Debut of an International Music Celebration Fête de la Musique, June 21, 2008

Los Angeles, Calif. (March 2008) -- Strains of Beethoven's 5th will blend with a Coltrane saxophone solo or a soaring guitar riff when Pasadena becomes a musician’s playground during Make Music Pasadena - A Fête de la Musique event on Saturday, June 21, 2008.

During this unique festival, EVERYONE is invited to make music. Make Music Pasadena will feature FREE performances by internationally known headliners performing to thousands at four main stages, and hundreds of amateur musicians who will bring their musical talents to the streets. From world music to indie rock, pop, Latin, classical, jazz and every conceivable musical genre, Make Music Pasadena will showcase an incredible range of sounds and styles celebrating the diversity that is Southern California.

Held in more than 300 cities in over 100 countries, Fête de la Musique is the largest musical celebration in the world, and Pasadena, one of the top cultural and civic destinations in the Los Angeles area, is bringing this international phenomenon to the West Coast for the very first time.
