We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 7th edition of the annual International Festival of Animated Films AniFest 2008, Czech Republic.

In order to take part in the competition, the Entry Form and a copy of the film on DVD must be sent to the organiser’s address no later than 21st of January 2008.

The Entry Form and the Competition Regulations are attached to this e-mail.

On-line entry form is available on the festival web site http://www.anifest.cz

Only films made after 1st of January 2006 and which have not competed in a previous AniFest festival are eligible to be entered. No entry fee is required. Information regarding competition categories, conditions of participation and other subjects are available in the Competition Regulations.

The organiser declares a competition in the following film categories:

1. Very Short Films: films of less than 5 minutes in length.

2. Short Films: films of more than 5 minutes in length.

3. Feature-Length Films: films of 60 minutes and longer in length.

4. Television Films and Serials: films or serials made to the order of a TV broadcaster; only one part of the serial enters the competition.

5. Video Clips, Advertisements, Introductory Spots: video clips are short films made primarily to be connected with an existing music recording which cover at least 80% of the film length; advertisements or introductory spots are short commercial films, made to an order to promote goods and services or to promote a brand, programme or event.

6. Internet Animation: is a film made for the purpose of Internet presentation. The recording of Internet Animation entered copied has to be on “swf” format, its size not exceeding 10 Mb.

7. Student Films: films made by film school students to fulfill their school duties.
