Paris Photo, the international art fair for the photographic medium, will be held November 11–14, 2021 at the new Grand Palais Éphémère, designed by the architects Wilmotte & Associés. Situated on the Champ-de-Mars, facing the Eiffel Tour, the temporary space will bring together leading galleries and art book dealers, for it’s long-awaited 24th edition, which will present the best of photographic creation from vintage and modern masters to the latest contemporary trends alongside an ambitious programme of exhibitions, conversations, awards and curated fair paths.

In parallel to physical fair at the Grand Palais Ephémère, Paris Photo will launch its new Online Viewing Room (OVR) platform powered by Artlogic—the industry leader in digital technology for the art world. The OVR is a complementary space to the physical fair in Paris, which will offer exhibitors additional visibility as well as flexibility to present their artworks. Collectors and enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to engage with Paris Photo galleries and art book dealers and purchase premium quality artworks from anywhere in the world. This user-friendly platform will be equipped with numerous functionalities making it easy to find and list favorite exhibitors, discover new talent, and forge new connections with galleries and art book dealers.

Main Sector galleries present a complete panorama of artworks with a special emphasis on solo, duo shows, and thematic projects offering visitors the opportunity to discover and rediscover leading artists through the viewing of an important artistic ensemble.

The Curiosa sector, dedicated to emerging art, will present 15 projects selected by guest curator Shoair Mavlian. Mavlian is the director of Photoworks, an international platform that champions early career photographers and innovative ways to share and exhibit photography. Assistant Curator of Photography at Tate Modern from 2011 to 2018, Mavlian has curated several major exhibitions, including Don McCullin (2019), Shape of Light: 100 Years of Photography and Abstract Art (2018), The Radical Eye: Modernist Photography from the Sir Elton John Collection (2016). Shoair Mavlian's work focuses on the Twentieth Century, conflict and memory, Central and South American photography and emerging contemporary practices. During the fair, the curator will present a series of conversations on emerging practises and take an in-depth look at the work of the selected artists.

The Book Sector will reunite 30 publishers and specialized art book dealers selected from around the world to represent excellence and creative visions in book making with rare and unique editions and new realeases. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to have their books signed by numerous artists participating in Paris Photo's on-site artist signature program.

Paris Photo continues its commitment to women in photography with Elles x Paris Photo, a program initiated in 2019 in partnership with the French Ministry of Culture to promote the visibility of women artists and their contribution to the history of photography. For this edition, Nathalie Herschdorfer, art historian, professor of the history of photography at the Swiss art school ECAL in Lausanne and director of the Museum of Fine Arts Le Locle, Switzerland, will spotlight a selection of works online and at the fair by women artists and the galleries that support them. Selected artists will benefit from additional exposure on ellesxparisphoto.com, a dedicated website and resource space continuously updated with interviews, articles and statistical data on the representation of women photographers.

Paris Photo is proud to continue its commitment to photographic creation with the Carte Blanche Students and the Paris Photo-Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards, alongside its official partners, BMW with the BMW Arts & Culture Residency, and J.P. Morgan Private Bank with the JPMorgan Chase Art Collection.
