2021 In Practice Artist Proposals
Deadline Extended: June 30, 2020
In order to help ensure that artists' activism and access to artmaking opportunities are not mutually exclusive, the deadline for In Practice artist proposals has been extended. All applications must be submitted using our online submission system.

Exemplifying the spirit of SculptureCenter's mission, In Practice supports innovative artwork, fosters experimentation, and introduces audiences to under-recognized practices and new ideas. The program offers participants the opportunity to develop and present work in what is often their first institutional exhibition in New York City.

We invite artists to submit proposals to be presented in a group exhibition in January.* Artists selected for the In Practice exhibition will receive an honorarium and production support. The level of production support will depend on the scope of accepted works and available funding.

Applications must be received by 11:59pm EST on June 30, 2020. For further information regarding application instructions, selection criteria, our review process, and timeline, please visit us online: https://www.sculpture-center.org/in_practice
