Call for artists, Institute for Electronic Arts Experimental Projects Residency, Alfred, NY, deadline January 15, 2019

The IEA’s Experimental Project Residency Program will support an artist with a one or two week residency, an artist stipend, travel-support, lodging, technology access, materials and technical assistance. Artists have access to a combination of emerging, contemporary and historical media arts tools and materials many unique and not ordinarily available in a studio setting.

The resident artists have 24 hour dedicated access to the IEA studio and equipment. The IEA research associate will work with the resident artist. Additional technical staff and faculty are also available for consultation.


Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for this residency you must be a New York State resident. Currently enrolled students are not eligible.

* Please note that we have two residency programs (Electronic Media/Film and Visual Arts). Please read the IEA Residency calls carefully to assure eligibility.

Electronic Media/Film:

The IEA studio area for video and sound is an integrated system with real-time-video, image-processing software, hardware and video capture.


Visual Arts:

The IEA’s Experimental Visual Arts Program, Project Residency is particularly looking for artists who want to experiment with Digital Printmedia technologies to further and expand their working practice.
