JOB OPENING: Gallery and Event Coordinator

The Downtown Art Center (DAC) Gallery is looking for a Gallery and Event Coordinator. We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:

1. B.A. or B.F.A
2. Highly organized with strong administrative skills
3. Adheres firmly to deadlines and is efficient with their time
4. Familiar with gallery operations and schedules
5. Flexibility and availability on some evenings and weekends for events
6. Takes initiative on projects
7. Creative and effective in marketing and social media
8. Strong communication and writing skills
9. Knowledge of contemporary art
10. Advanced skill in digital photography and photo retouching
11. General aptitude with Microsoft Office Suite, and working with inventory
systems.
12. Communicates and presents themselves professionally
13. Possesses reliable transportation and has a clean driving record

Pay rate: $14 - $18/HR DOE

The DAC Gallery is a private contemporary exhibition space and part of the ECF Art Centers, a nonprofit program that supports adult artists living with developmental disabilities. The Exceptional Children’s Foundation (ECF) funds both the Gallery and the Art Centers. In addition to overseeing all aspects of daily gallery operations, the Gallery and Event Coordinator will also be responsible for providing daily administrative support to the Program Director and the Art Program.
