JPMORGAN CHASE AWARDS $2 MILLION FOR REFUGEE ASSISTANCE. Grants totaling $1 million from the JPMorgan Chase Foundation will support humanitarian relief organizations providing vital resources such as food, water, hygienic kits, and medical support to refugees from Syria arriving in Italy, Turkey, Greece, and Lebanon. The foundation also has launched an employee giving campaign that will match employee donations to the awarded organizations on a dollar-for-dollar basis. In particular, the foundation will double employee donations up to $500,000, for a total of $1 million in additional support. "Hundreds of thousands of refugees are fleeing their war-torn homelands, desperate for safety and the most basic human needs.
