*THE ETERNAL TELETHON SEEKS PARTICIPANTS!*

“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your performance hungry masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your student loans.
Send these, the homeless, eternal convalescents to me,
I lift my lamp beside the Salton Sea!”

*The Eternal Telethon: The Power Suit Edition*

The Eternal Telethon Telethon is excited to be working with resident artist
Eamonn Fox at Grand Central Art Center, presenting a telethon during the
closing of his show on October 5th. We are seeking Santa Ana area artists,
and those who wish to engage the area art community, to present
performances of all types as part of the Eternal Telethon’s mission to
raise money for an artist’s convalescent home to be built on the Salton
Sea.

*The Theme:*
In congruence with Eamonn’s ongoing work in the education gallery of Grand
Central Art Center, this telethon’s theme is career advancement. We’d like
to examine networking, ladder climbing and perhaps even a little bit of
shameless schmoozing and self-promotion. Performances may include musical,
informational, visual, non-visual, fitness, poetic, didactic,
trust-building, audience participation and more.

*The Deadline:*
Please send your submissions, in any, form to eternaltelethon@gmail.com by
Monday, September 30th. Participants will be notified October 1st.

*The History:*
The Eternal Telethon is an online, artist-run telethon whose goal is to
raise funds to build a convalescent home for retired artists located at the
Salton Sea. It’s a variety show featuring dozens of artists’ lo-fi
performances, including music, skits, lectures, rants and more. The
variously themed telethons occur at different locations for each broadcast,
and can be seen live on the Internet via Ustream.
