Special Assistant to the President at Arts Organization in Southern California

The Special Assistant to the President position is located at a highly regarded arts organization in Southern California. This individual will work closely with the President and play a critical role in the organization's operations.

Key Responsibilities:
-Acts as liaison between the President and Board of Directors, staff, and community members.
-Performs complex administrative duties for the President. Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
-Helps plan work flow, through calendar and logistics management, to ensure President's daily focus is in line with the priorities of the organization and time is strategically allocated to further strategic goals.
-Independently composes and prepares correspondence.
-Conducts research and prepares reports.
-Attends meetings and serves as representative of Office of President.
-Coordinates special events.
-Involved with budget management.

Position Requirements:
-Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent with six years of high level administrative experience working with Boards of Directors in a nonprofit setting.
-Experience in arts administration preferred.
-Must have excellent writing skills, ability to compose effective correspondence, outstanding interpersonal skills, and ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships at all levels of the organization.
