Performance Opportunity ~ Electric Lodge's High Voltage Series

AMP's picture

Dear Friends & Colleagues,
It is with great enthusiasm to announce the Electric Lodge is now excepting
submissions for the 2013 Fall / Winter installment of our new performance
series HIGH VOLTAGE.

Our new late night series is an effort to create new opportunities for both
emerging and established L.A. based artists. This years pilot series
participants included Leslie Gray (puppetry), Daniel Corral (music & spoken
word), Rebecca Papas (dance), Shoji Yamaski (dance), Susan Lynch (theater),
Melanie McGray (dance), Kevin Williamson & Laurel Tentindo (dance), and The
Decisive Instant (live music). Performances/Installations/Happenings should
be minimal tech, in a “pop-up " fashion to take place in our large
street-level dance studio. Presented by Electric Lodge on the first Friday
of every month to coincide with the well-established popular First Friday
activities that happen throughout our neighborhood. Selected artist would
be awarded rehearsal space. All disciplines are encouraged to apply. Please
feel free to share/forward this application with your friends, students,
and colleagues. Performance schedule is based on Electric Lodge's desire to
present new works in an informal setting. Each project selected for the
program is provided rehearsal space, time slot the Friday of the run to set
light and sound cues and deal with basic staging issues. If your vision of
the piece cannot be realized in this short time, the work might best be
presented through another Electric Lodge program.
