A Place Called Home is a dynamic, non-profit youth center in South Central Los Angeles. APCH provides educational programs, counseling, mentoring, music, dance and art classes, and fitness opportunities. As youth participate in our programs, they discover interests and talents and develop a better sense of themselves and their place in the world around them. Our goal is to increase the likelihood that youth will stay in school, pursue higher education, attain viable jobs, and become active citizens capable of making positive change in the world in which they live. 1) Summer Art Assitant
Responsible for assisting and instructing art classes and projects, preparing supplies for classes, chaperoning department field trips, and general classroom management

2) Summer Programs Assistant
Responsible for assisting with facilitation of recreational activities, coordinating and chaperoning field trips, supporting meal service, and providing member supervision in various departments as needed.

3) Human Resource Administrator
A key member of the Operations team that supports the employees of A Place Called Home by assisting with the administrative needs of employees, championing staff appreciation and a strong sense of teamwork, and provides supports for the work cycle of employees from initial screening and selection to exit and transition processes.

Part Time
Monday and Wednesday from 12noon - 7pm
Friday from 11am - 5pm

4) AmeriCorps VISTA Development Associate
Under the supervision of the Associate Development Director, the VISTA Development Associate will assist in revenue generation efforts of the Development Department to include prospecting for institutional and federal grants, applying for grants, and social media giving. In addition, the VISTA Development Associate will also play an active role in the preparing and implementing the capital campaign that the Department will begin this year in order to develop an additional facility so that APCH can increase the number it serves in this community.

Full Time (1 year committment)

5) Driver
The drivers for A Place Called Home transport clients and pick up donations for A Place Called Home.
•Pick up members from schools (school routes Mon- Fri 1:30pm-4:00pm varies based on early release schedules)
•Transport members on field trips (per request-some evenings and weekends)
•Pick-up in-kind donations as scheduled (Mon-Fri)

Full-Time June 10th - August 2nd
Part-Time August 3rd - June 9th
