*Six Points Fellowship Program Assistant - Job Description*

Organization
The Six Points Fellowship for Emerging Jewish Artists is a project of the
Foundation for Jewish
Culture. Six Points is the leading supporter of emerging artists creating
new Jewish arts content.
We are seeking a part-time (15 hrs/week) program assistant to support our
work in Los Angeles,
working out of our downtown office. Ideal candidates will be
self-motivated, resourceful and
detail-oriented. Working under the supervision of the Fellowship’s Los
Angeles based Director, the
program assistant will work on all aspects of the Fellowship including the
Los Angeles program,
national communications, social media, tracking event attendance,
evaluation and overall work in
advancing the projects goals.

Responsibilities will include: Monthly Workshops and Retreats

ï‚· Arrange venues for monthly workshops
ï‚· Manage attendance
ï‚· Prepare materials for monthly workshops
ï‚· Arrange logistics for retreats (travel, food, lodging, budgets)
ï‚· Documenting workshops and retreats with photo and video footage

Administration
ï‚· Create and manage database and lists
ï‚· Create and update press archive
ï‚· Prepare presentation materials
ï‚· Schedule meetings
ï‚· Maintain contact with fellows about programming scheduling and other
opportunities
ï‚· Assist with grant writing / copy-editing
ï‚· Assist with internal communication to our main office in New York

Communication / Press
ï‚· Monthly E-blast via YMLP, announcing Six Points events
ï‚· First line of contact for Six Points inquiries
ï‚· Develop outreach lists
 Update website “news and events†section
ï‚· Keep website press pages current
ï‚· Twitter

Design
ï‚· Designing fliers, business cards, brochures, party invites, buttons,
t-shirts in Adobe Creative Suite
ï‚· Formatting reports and grant applications
ï‚· Occasionally editing videos

Qualifications
The ideal program assistant has a professional background in a related
cultural/arts organization.
The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree and have experience in arts
program administration
and artist development. The successful candidate brings exceptional
interpersonal and written
communications. Additionally, knowledge of web based work including YMLP,
word press, twitter, and
programs including Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
strongly preferred.

Some nights and weekends required. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. The
