Polskin Arts & Communications Counselors is looking for students with an
academic background or interest in the visual and performing arts,
journalism, communications, and/or public relations for Arts & Culture
PR Internships in the Los Angeles office during May - August 2013.
Course credit is available for these unpaid, part-time internships in a
busy communications practice working with museums, concert halls,
non-profits and other cultural clients. Learn more about us at

A qualified candidate must be research savvy, an avid reader of
newspapers, magazines, and blogs of all kinds; and possess a good
personality as well as email/telephone skills. Basic computer skills and
knowledge of excel are a must; design skills and/or Photoshop knowledge
is a plus. Responsibilities may include: press kit and clip book
assemblage, filling image requests, media research, basic pr copy
writing and editing, and event assistance.

You've got the internship if -You have a special interest in visual
art, music, green or environmental culture and/or social issues -You
know how to pronounce Ed Ruscha's last name or can quickly identify your
favorite journalist or reporter -You have recently read or posted to an
art, environmental, theatre, or music blog -You have ever used
mail-merge on Word or kept up a simple database on Excel -Like
assembling press kits and working registration tables for Museum
events-Have basic design skills or can fake it-Can name three art
galleries, theatre performances, museum exhibitions, concerts, or
cultural events you've been to in the last year-You've ever heard of, or
used, media guides ...or think you can figure them out
