Fundraising/Development Associate
Reports to: Senior Director of Development

Job Description:

As an integral part of the Development Department, the Development Associate provides fundraising and fulfillment services to Film Independent's sponsors and secures in-kind and budget relieving support to the organization.

Duties:

· Prospect, cultivate and secure event sponsors. Sponsorships range from $5,000 - $300,000
· Administer and close in-kind and cash sponsorship agreements including: writing proposals, contracts, deal memos, obtaining proper signatures and reports to sponsors
· Pre-event follow-up to Film Independent sponsors to obtain sponsor assets
· Manage the process for updating Sponsor EPK Materials and website
· Manages the administration of Sponsor RSVPs/VIP ticketing at all Film Independent events
· Manage the sponsorship fulfillment and wrap process for key Film Independent programs, with assistance from Development team as needed
· Prepare and break down event site with sponsor materials
· Coordinate gift bag items and assembly for Film Independent events
· Research potential donor prospects using all available resources such as publications, internet, guides, databases, etc.
· Fulfillment of all contracts for Film Independent Development Department
· Participate as a member of the overall Development Department team including bi-weekly meetings and representing the department at various company committees
· Work with staff in Education, Production, Event Operations, and other Film Independent departments as the sponsor liaison
· Manage activities, in relation to sponsors, contracts, and events, of the Senior Director of Development and Development Department
· Other duties, as assigned

· An appetite for fundraising.
· High level of Integrity and creativity.
· A passion for cinema, the arts, and independent filmmaking and a strong dedication to Film Independent and its values of inclusiveness, diversity and collegiality.
· Experience with computers (Windows, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel), databases, e-mail needed. Experience with Raisers Edge helpful.
· A history of non-profit, arts or film experience performance preferred.
· Bachelor’s required.
