OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS / All artists are invited to participate
opening October 5th , 2012 / HISPANIC HISTORY MONTH at art6 Gallery 6 E.
Broad St Richmond VA 23219

Art works must pertain to hispanic history and culture to include but not
limited to; ethnic dress, ethnic food, dance, music, famous people, latin
history, historical figures, poetry, beliefs, carnival, spirituality, etc..
Accepting all mediums and highlighting the diversity of the Latin Americas
and the rich contributions made historically by the people of the latin
Americas and the spanish speaking islands. Artists will be notified within
one week of the deadline of accepted works. All works MUST fit thematically
and make sense in this exhibit.
The opening reception will be broadcast live by The Latin Jazz Radio Station
1540am Richmond VA. The Latin Ballet of Virginia will be performing at the
opening reception. We are also working on getting Telemundo Television for
live coverage as well
We also welcome Poets that would like to read at the opening event (please
contact me for details).

AZUCAR! exhibit October 5th 2012 - 27th, 2012

You are invited to participate in art6 Gallery's October 2012, Azucar
exhibit in honor of Hispanic History month. Non-area artists will need to
make arrangements for delivery and packing of their works for return and are
responsible for all shipping and return shipping fees. Shipped works must
ship in reusable packaging with return postage fees. (contact me for
details)

Submission fee: (to defray insurance costs) is; $25 one entry, $15 next
entry or discounted rate of $45 for up to 3 entries. Maximum dimensions
should not exceed 45 inches in height and 36 inches in width unless
otherwise waived for special consideration. Fees must be paid prior to
submitting work. Email your submissions with full details (titles, medium,
dimensions, prices and artist name) to ruizhelene(at)aol.com no later than
midnight September 15th, 2012

Payment can be made thru paypal by adding a $2.00 paypal fee to your
payment; ruizhelene(at)aol.com / Checks can be mailed for fees and payment
made to "art6 Gallery", subject all payments "Azucar". Contact me via email
for mailing instructions.

**Fees are non-refundable**
Selected work must be sent ready for installation. Art6 Gallery reserves the
right not to exhibit work that it deems unsuitable for exhibition. Specific
installations requiring special handling directions must be coordinated with
myself (helene ruiz) prior to the hanging of the exhibit to arrange for the
artist to be available for installation if needed.

If the piece is listed by the artist "for sale," the artist receives 70% of
the sale price, art6 30% commission.

Objects on loan to art6 for this exhibit must remain available for exhibit
for the agreed period of the loan. However, they may be replaced with
mutually determined items in the event of a sale that cannot wait the end
date. Art6 currently maintains a limited insurance policy for objects placed
in its facility and under its care. This is not a wall-to-wall policy, so
artists are encouraged to cover their work under their own policy as well.
All works must be fully prepared for professional presentation. Flaws in
construction or presentation (such as objects with inherent vice in their
materials or lacking in stability) may not be covered under the gallery
policy.

Such planning and craftsmanship is understood as the responsibility of the
artist. Also not covered are incidents beyond the gallery''s control, such
as extreme weather, building construction flaws, or acts of riot and
vandalism.

art6 receives a 30% commission for all sales during and resulting from this
exhibition. If you wish to donate more than 30% of your sales price to the
gallery, please indicate the amount. ________%
