Join thousands in LA for massive climate-art project, Nov. 21!

Greetings,

I work with 350.org, an international climate campaign with a flair for the dramatic. On 10/10/10 we coordinated over 7000 community-building, carbon-mitigating actions in 188 countries for our Global Work Party. Now, in the run up to the next round of UN negotiations which will be held in Cancun, Mexico beginning the weekend of Thanksgiving we are working to pull off an ambitious global art initiative.

We are really excited about an art event that will be happening in LA this Sunday, November 21.

350.org is curating a series of 20 massive human art actions around the world that, amongst other things, will be captured by satellite! The images will be knit together on a new web site that we are building to tell the stories of the different participating communities and highlight the various global issues and solutions that the art represents. One of the five US sites is LA where the artist John Quigley is creating what should be an inspiring image w/ several thousand people (and solar panels) at the Los Angeles Historic State Park - Corn Fields, 1245 N. Spring Street from 9:30-11:15 am. We are hoping that these images will educate and inspire people about global climate issues and solutions.

If you are free this Sunday, from 9:30-11:15am, please come out to be part of this amazing artistic visual. This may be your only chance to be photographed from space, and you'll be part of an important global movement and message.

Bring your friends and family, and help spread the word if you can! See you at the Cornfields.

Thank you,

Sara Camp, 350.org U.S. Campaign Manager
