AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

Presented by Vox Novus in collaboration with the Canadian
Electroacoustic Community, *60x60 Canada *is an annual project
containing 60 electroacoustic compositions from 60 Canadian composers,
each composition 60 seconds or less in duration.

After a year of (fixed-media) concerts and presentations around Canada
and abroad, the project takes an inter-artistic leap with three (and
rising) upcoming *60x60 dance shows in Montreal in November and December
2009 *with 60 dancers, multichannel audio, and video and image projection.

We are releasing a call for dancers who are interested in taking a part
in these shows* *and in the project

*A CALL FOR DANCERS AND PERFORMERS - 60X60 DANCE IN MONTREAL *

60×60 Dance is looking for proposals from choreographers, dancers and
performance artists of all styles who would like to participate in the
upcoming 60×60 dance shows in Montreal produced in November and December
2009.

60×60 is a one-hour-long show made by sequencing 60 electroacoustic
pieces of 60 different composers, each piece a minute long or shorter.
Each selected performer will be invited to create a one minute solo
dance or performance act inspired by one of the 60 compositions. The 60
performances will be joined to create an hour-long show. A visual
component (image or video projection) will be included with the audio
system.

*Mission Statement* -

The mission of the 60×60 project is to bring together artists of
different artistic practices, media and styles in a collaborative
art-making, to expose audiences to the wide range of contemporary
artistic expression, and to promote a sense of community among the arts.
Since its inception in 2003, the project has seen approximately 150
concerts, dance shows, multimedia presentations, and installations
worldwide.

piece of music from the Canadian Mix to each choreographer.

†60×60Dance" est à la recherche de chorégraphes, danseurs et
performeurs de tous styles qui aimeraient participer aux spectacles de
"60×60 dance" à Montreal en Novembre et Décembre 2009.

60×60 est un spectacle d´une heure fait par 60 séquences de pièces
électroacoustiques de 60 compositeurs différents, chaque pièce d´une
durée approximative d´une minute. Les chorégraphes sélectionnés seront
invités à créer un solo de danse ou une performance d´environ une minute
inspirée par une des 60 compositions musicales. Les 60 performances
seront jointes pour créer un spectacle d´une heure. Une composante
visuelle (image ou projection vidéo) sera incluse avec le système audio.

La mission du projet "60×60dance" est de rassembler des artistes de
différentes pratiques artistiques lors d´un échange collaborateur, à
s´exposer devant diverses audiences et à promouvoir le sens d´une
communauté artistique. Depuis son inception en 2003, le projet a fait
