AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

last week I had a work shop in Emam Ali Museum. That was good. I had some feedback and got some new experience.now I would like to share it with you. Here you are.

I had an exhibition one month ago.I would like to share some phots of my exhibition with you. I enjoyed. and I hope you enjoy it too.

Unfortunately , This days something is wrong.some body are going to ruin our dear old country Iran and hit our culture.so There is a gulf in south of Iran And The name is Persian Gulf not Arab.We can't stand some sites change this name.I would like to see this site . It can help you to know this Gulf.

Several months ago I had a project with UNHCR in Iran about Afghan refugee children.wow It was a great experience for me and unforgettable. Many artists and I went to the place where Afghan children lived there.
we tried to teach them how to show their passion with painting.
The name of this project was ''The Unheard Voices of Refugee Childern'' was the theme for world Refugee Day celebrations around the world,20''June 2007.

Well, last night we had a nice celebration that goes back ancient Iranian people.wow fire.Iranians are called Chahar- Shanbeh suri .
Ancient Iranians believed that the fire was holly and made them powerful & life .Thats why,In The evening of the last Tuesday of the year (before starting Newyear) they lighted a fire and jumped over it(If you like to know more about it, you will read my before writing about our New year). And Modern Iranians have continued this tarditional festival yet.wow last night I really enjoyed as mush as I could ,with jumping over the fire and fireworks and using squib ,firecracker . I set off firecrackers alot.Now I share some pic of this festival with you .Tomorrow will be New year(Norouz) in Iran. Happy Norouz for Iranians in LA & AMP.

women in Iran are really incredible.They aren't forced to do somethings. They are stronge and when they think,they want to do somethings , Be sure they do it.
I remember when I was a kid, My country became revolution. But most of women in Iran don't accept some rules about themselves.one of them is wearing Hejab(chador).One of my memory is about this winter.The weather was either cold or snowy, and the streets were full of snow.So we had to wear boots.Suddenly our goverment decided to don't let wemon wear boots.Because,they beleived that boots on jean was provocative.
wowo.......It was clear cut.Vise verca after this news by goverment most of women and I wore boots on jeans

Little by little New year will be started in Iran.Almost 3 weeks next we will have New year. it is20th march.in this topic I would like to explain about it.well NORUZ , or New year, is the celebration of spring equinox.it is the most cherished of all the Iranian festivals and is celebrated by all.This occasion has been renowned in one from or another by all the major culture of ancient Mesopotamia.what we have today as Noruz with its uniquely Iranian charactristics has been celebrated for at least 3000 years and is deeply rooted in the rituals and traditions of the Zoroastrian belife system in the Sassanid period.

well, Iam going to share my feeling about my culture with you. Maybe I can interest you in it.First, I would like to say that Iam an Iranian Artist and I am proud about it.Because my land has more than 7000 years background.I live in a country that is ancient. My culture is full of things that I can learn and use it in my paintings.Before revolution our goverment was tried to show our culture in the world.But after that we would get involved with somethings that are rubbish.After revolution most of people in around the world think that Iranian people are Arab. But It is a mistake. we aren't Arab.Our race is different.we are Aria the same as German people.When Islam entered to Iran in SASANIAN period.
