I've always been very impressed with Wim Wenders. He's a consummate artist, contemplative, with visually striking work, and an arresting vision. Not only is his magnificently layered poetic film "Wings of Desire" (Der Himmel über Berlin) my favorite of all time, but his work in other areas - here, electronic paintings - is endlessly fascinating.
