The 2010 Notice of Funding Availability has been released for the Culver City Performing Arts Grants Program. The application is available via the City's website at www.culvercity.org.

The deadline for submission is September 8, 2009. Performances may be presented by professionals or amateurs in the disciplines of theatre, musical theatre, music, opera, or dance. A workshop to assist organizations with the completion of the application will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 in the Lethbridge Garden Room at Veterans Memorial Building located at 4117 Overland Avenue in Culver City. The workshop will begin at 7 PM.

Grants of up to $75,000 will be awarded to nonprofits, government agencies, and tribal communities working to provide the American public with performances of chamber music, traditional and indigenous music, and jazz. These may include discussions, master classes, seminars, exhibitions, program material, or cooperative learning projects with educational or community institutions. Curriculum-based educational components for children and youth must ensure the application of national or state arts education standards.
