The Victoria and Albert Museum is seeking a Curator of Digital Design to join the Design, Architecture and Digital Department. This is an exciting opportunity to define a new approach to collecting and exhibiting digital design for the V&A, as well as taking on the responsibility for the care, research, display and interpretation of the Museum's digital design collections.

The post holder must have strong contacts in the field of digital design and be able to bring design communities together to think about how the V&A should represent them in its collections in the future. They should also have high levels of literacy with digital design techniques and platforms and clear ideas about how to collect, preserve and display digital artefacts.

This exciting post will see the post holder working closely with colleagues in DAD and other departments including Exhibitions, Research, Conservation and Collections Management. The Curator of Digital Design will primarily collect the most important design work in the digital realm and be a constant source of ideas for exhibitions, events, publications, in print and online, commissions and other programming. They will also be involved in a wide range of museum projects onsite and off.

Applications should be submitted through the V&A jobs portal through the V&A website. Applicants are encouraged to submit a portfolio of their most recent work, that they believe is relevant to the role. Please be advised you will be asked about some or all of this work as part of the interview process.
