The Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm seeks to appoint a full-time Professor of Visual Arts with an emphasis on Moving Image, broadly defined. The professorship is a full-time post which includes time for research. Candidates are prepared to instruct and supervise students at all levels—from BFA to MFA, with a possibility to supervise PhD students. Although RIA seeks to hire a Professor of Visual Art with an emphasis on Moving Image, preference will be given to candidates whose own interests, knowledge, and practice synthesize a wide range of interdisciplinary influences.

Qualifications
Candidates must have a substantial exhibition record with proven teaching experience at the college or university level. A completed MFA or the equivalent is also required. Applicants must demonstrate achievement and potential to make contributions in their specific field of research and practice. Candidates will be expected to participate fully in curricular developments and in all other aspects of the academic life of the school.

Full-time faculty are additionally expected to contribute service to the institution and participate in faculty governance.
