Submissions to Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2016 open on Monday, December 7, 2015 and close on Sunday January 17, 2016 at 6pm, UK time.

With over 1,600 applications received in 2015, submissions for Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2016 are now being accepted. Applications are welcome from final year undergraduates and current postgraduates studying Fine Art at UK art colleges, as well as those who graduated in 2015.

To apply, we ask for a portfolio of six works to be submitted online via our website.

Following two rigorous selection rounds, participants will be announced in April 2016, with the resulting national touring exhibition offering a compelling picture of contemporary practice.

New Contemporaries continues to be the leading and longest-running open submission touring exhibition, showcasing some of the most dynamic and engaging work emerging from UK art schools. Since 1949, we have provided a professional platform beyond the context of art school, allowing for new artists' work to become visible and discussed, often for the first time.

New Contemporaries alumni include David Hockney, Patrick Caulfield, Anish Kapoor, Antony Gormley, Mark Wallinger, Gillian Wearing, Peter Doig and Tacita Dean.

Please visit newcontemporaries.org.uk for the full submissions guidelines and eligibility criteria and follow us on Bloomberg New Contemporaries' Facebook and Twitter pages for further announcements.

New Contemporaries is a National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) and Registered Charity.
