The City of Torrance Community Services Department is currently accepting applications for an Instructor I (Cartooning/Visual Arts Instructor) with the Cultural Services Division. This is a recurrent, as needed position that pays between $21.78 and $24.03 per hour. Classes begin in January, 2016.

Under supervision, the Cartooning/Visual Arts Instructor I will teach basic cartoon and anime drawing skills, with additional visual arts teaching as required. They are responsible for preparing lesson plans and instructing 2-dimensional visual arts classes in weekly, eight – ten week quarters.

Hours: Hours are varied, 4:00 p.m.— 8:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. — 3:00 p.m., during the school year. Additional daytime classes may be scheduled during the summer session or for Home Schooled children.
