The School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, invites qualified academics and professionals to apply for a faculty position as Assistant or Associate Professor in Curatorial Practice.

He or she will be expected to provide leadership and foster excellence in all academic activities and maintain an active professional practice.

In 2013, with the support of the Singapore Economic Development Board, NTU established the Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore (NTU CCA Singapore). Qualifications:
A PhD degree (or other terminal degrees or relevant experience) and a strong record of university-level teaching, research, curating, supervision and/or publishing are preferred. Knowledge of contemporary art—especially experience in Southeast Asia and its art spaces—is a strong plus.

The school:
ADM welcomes applications from candidates with international as well as regional expertise. This position will also involve administrative duties and committee participation. The school currently offers six BFA degrees and an MA and PhD by research. It works closely with NTU CCA Singapore and together plans to introduce a new interdisciplinary programme in Curatorial Practice to address the needs of Singapore and the region.

ADM is the first comprehensive art school in Singapore. It provides a studio-based professional education in a comprehensive university setting, providing students with the knowledge and skills to develop, and produce groundbreaking creative artworks and related scholarly activity. While promoting Singapore's creative culture, ADM is positioned to play a central role in the transformation of Singapore into a regional centre of art, art history, media and design.
