The European Investment Bank (EIB) Institute is pleased to announce the 2015 edition of its Artists' Development Programme (ADP), targeting two visual artists (aged less than 35) from Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Latvia, Malta and Turkey.

The ADP provides an opportunity for the two emerging visual artists to develop their practice during a four–six week residency in Luxembourg. During this time, they will each be mentored by a leading peer, internationally acclaimed British artist Darren Almond.

The ADP aims to promote two individual emerging artists by associating them with an established artist from the creative field. The main practical objective of the programme is to help bring about the production of two independent innovative artistic projects.

Eligibility
The residency is open to all individuals wishing to develop their practice in a professional context by creating a new (body of) work(s). Applicants should be under 35 years of age at the time of application. Applicants must have the nationality of Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Latvia, Malta or Turkey or reside in one of these countries. In order to facilitate communications with the mentor and local artistic environment in Luxembourg, participants should be fluent in English.

Jury
Applications are evaluated by a selection jury consisting of members of the EIB Institute Arts Committee, external arts professionals and the mentor. The jury bases its selection on the artistic quality of the applicants' historical work, the proposals submitted, the potential impact of the residency on the applicants' careers, and the relevance of the applicants' practices to the cultural context of the EIB Institute.

Budget and duration
The EIB Institute will take over the two artists' travel costs to and from Luxembourg. The artists in residence will also receive a stipend (EUR 100 per day each). At the end of the residency, the participants will receive a success fee of EUR 1,500 each provided they have produced an artwork.

Before or during the residency in Luxembourg, the beneficiaries will spend a few days visiting the mentor and experiencing the latter's creative studio(s) in London. The duration of the residency in Luxembourg will be four–six weeks, in June/July 2015. The artists participating in the ADP will be provided a living/working space located in Centre Culturel de Rencontre Abbaye de Neumünster, situated in the culturally rich Grund district of Luxembourg City.

Upon completion of the residency, the EIB might consider acquiring the artwork(s), which was/were produced on site, from the artists.

Application procedure
Requirements
– CV (in English)
– Scanned copy of the passport, identity card of the applicant or other document evidencing legitimate residence in one of the eligible countries (in English)

Any application which does not comply with the set requirements will be automatically eliminated.

Selection procedure

The selected candidates will be informed of the jury's result via email by the end of March/beginning of April 2015.

The deadline for application is 20 February at midnight (GMT+1).
Applications must be fully completed and submitted in due time in order to be considered.
