FLARE (France Los Angeles Residency Exchange) fellowship grant of between $6,000 - $9,000 to conduct a two month residency in France is postponing its residency in Paris to early 2014. Brand new guidelines have been released and a new application period runs until September 2, 2013 for emerger or midcareer visual artists, architects and/or designers based in Greater Los Angeles.

The applications are due Sept 2, 2013 for residency taking place from January 3, 2014 , to February 27, 2014. For more information regarding eligibility and application instructions, please click here.
Similarly, FLARE is also offering a grant for two French artists to participate in a residency in Los Angeles from October to November 2013, and a grant for an LA based artist to participate in a residency in Bordeaux at the same period. The deadline to apply to these grants was in May 2013, the selection process for both residencies in Los Angeles and in Bordeaux is currently in course of validation.
