ISO: JA woman who became single mother in 1980s for art project

AMP's picture

I am developing a new performance (title: "WHAT? NO PING-PONG BALLS?") about my late mother's life story, emphasizing her experiences as a single mom in the 1960s. As part of the piece, I am interviewing Asian American single mothers of various decades - 60, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, etc., to include their experiences in comparison and contrast. I am having difficulty finding someone who became a single mother in the 1980s. Japanese American is ideal (more specific to compare with my mother's experience), but I will consider any Asian ethnicity.

The informal video interview will take about an hour, you will have final approval over any of your material that may be used in the performance, and hopefully you will enjoy being part of a project which will honor the experiences of Asian American single moms!
