U.S. journalists interested in theater and the arts can apply for a fellowship.

The Arts Journalism Institute in Theater and Musical Theater, sponsored by the University of Southern California and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), is an 11-day intensive theater program for journalists. It coincides with the Theater Communications Group National Conference, which brings together more than 1,000 influential theater producers, artists and journalists.

Fellows will take part in sessions on the media industry, meet theater professionals and attend as many as 10 performances or rehearsals.

The fellowship includes travel costs, accommodation and meals. It is open to applicants from the 50 states and Puerto Rico, and candidates must be arts writers, critics, editors or producers for online, print, radio or television.
