The Istituto Europea di Design is launching a contest to win scholarships for the European Master of Fine Art Photography in Madrid. The first prize is a scholarship that covers the cost of the course fee, equivalent to 9.000 €. There will be two second prizes which will cover 50% of the course fee, each equivalent to 4.500 €. The contest will close on February 11th, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. CET. See terms and conditions on http://iedmadrid.com/becas/scholarships-for-european-master-of-fine-art-...

The European Master of Fine Art Photography is based on three fundamental concepts:
Its international nature, with a special focus on the European environment, from Russia to Ireland, from Finland to Barcelona
The excellence of its docents, including photographers such as Martin Parr, publishers, media artists, photography historians, festival directors, and curators.
Its orientation towards artistic projects, networking and exhibition practice

The Master’s proposal is based on the premise that there such a thing as a conceptual, European identity. The proposal is not, however, closed, but rather, it is an open invitation to diversity and exchange. In this sense, the participation of students from other continents is especially interesting and enriching.

Admissions: Apply for admissions by e-mail at info@madrid.ied.es or directly to the Course Director, ex-FF-Alumn Moritz Neumüller: moritzbarcelona@gmail.com.
