Art in Odd Places offers two internship positions with amazing leadership
opportunities:
-Manager of Development
-Assistant Director

Art in Odd Places (AiOP) is a non-profit public art project based in New
York City exploring connections between public spaces, pedestrian traffic,
and ephemeral transient interventions. For the past 7 years, AiOP has
presented a large-scale festival each year with an all volunteer staff.

Art in Odd Places aims to stretch the boundaries of communication in the
public realm by presenting artworks in all disciplines outside the confines
of traditional public space regulations. AiOP reminds us that public spaces
function as the epicenter for diverse social interactions and the unfettered
exchange of ideas.

Art in Odd Places is at a major crossroads of growth and can provide
remarkable opportunities for leadership roles within the organization.
Currently AiOP is seeking an assistant director and a development manager.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong interest in arts administration
and/or public art; have flexibility and the initiative to work both
independently and as part of a team; have proficient computer skills (MS
Office and HTML) and possess excellent organizational, communication and
writing skills.

Assistant Director responsibilities include:
festival/exhibition production and management
working with curators to organize and manage open call for artists
maintenance of media database and development of pr strategy
assisting with general administrative tasks

Development Manager responsibilities include:
conducting foundation and grant / sponsor and donor research
working with director to apply to foundations and grants
creating/maintaining database
assisting with general administrative tasks relating to fund-raising and
foundation/grant applications

This is an unpaid internship/position with amazing opportunities for hands
on development of a NYC public arts organization. Dates and hours are
flexible but we would prefer two/three days per week and a commitment of
three to four months. There is no Art in Odd Places office so candidates
work from their computer and phone.

Send an email to artinoddplaces@gmail.com . Please attach your
