Position Title: Executive Director
Reports To: Burbank Arts For All Board of Directors

Summary
Burbank Arts for All (www.burbankartsforall.org), a 501(c)(3) non-profit education foundation is dedicated to ensuring every student in Burbank public schools receives a quality arts education as part of their core curriculum.

The Executive Director we're seeking will be charged with helping to shape and advance BAFA and will oversee the organization's management, planning, fundraising, marketing, and public relations under the direction of the Board of Directors with direct supervision from the Chair. This position is envisioned to encompass an average of 20 hours per week over the course of a year with the potential to grow into a full-time position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Management
* Prepares and manages annual budget
* Administers the funds of the organization and monitors compliance with by-laws of the board and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Communications and Marketing
* Serves as point of contact with outside organizations and individuals, such as the Burbank Unified School District, the City of Burbank, contributors, Burbank PTA and Booster organizations, nonprofit arts providers, and other organizations affecting the BAFA.
Communication
* Communicates effectively with multiple audiences using a variety of formats, such as written communications, verbal presentations, and web-based communications.
Board Relations
* Support of all activities associated with the Board of Directors, including staffing for all Board and Committee meetings, meeting schedules, locations, development of agenda, and meeting materials.
Fundraising and Directing Resources
* Organize and direct all fundraising and development efforts on behalf of Burbank Arts for All.
* In conjunction with the board, helps facilitate fundraising planning and implementation, including identifying resources requirements, researching funding sources, and establishing strategies to approach funders.
* Supports the cultivation of individual donors.
* Writes and submits grant proposals and seeks corporate sponsorships.
* Supports annual and special fundraising events.
Background & Experience
* Experience in education and/or the arts will be considered an asset, with a demonstrated appreciation for the arts.
* Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills required.

Compensation
* Salary is hourly and negotiable, based on experience; benefits are not provided.
