Virginia Avenue Project Seeks Sound Designer (LA area)

The Virginia Avenue Project is seeking a sound designer for its summer show.

The week of July 11-17 we will be producing a series of eight Radio Plays written by our kids and performed and directed by professional artists - in a theatre radio style. The majority of the Sound Effects will be produced live by the director and young author of each play - but there will also be some recorded sound and music so we're looking for a Sound Designer who would be interested in designing sounds for the show and running it, as well. Here's how the schedule goes:

Sunday, July 11 - 1-5pm - Crude Run Through of "Buried Treasures" for tech people inside our youth center on the northeast corner of 14th and Olympic in Santa Monica
Monday, July 12 - 6-10pm - Four one-hour rehearsals to work on live and recorded Sound Effects for half the plays
Tuesday, July 13 - 6-10pm - Four one-hour rehearsals to work on live and recorded Sound Effects for second half of plays
Wednesday, July 14 - 5:30-11pm - Tech (we never usually go until 11)
Thursday, July 15 - 5:30-11pm - Dress
Friday, July 16 - 6:30 - 9:30pm - Opening Night - the show will probably be an hour and a half long including intermission
Saturday, July 17 - 2-10:30pm - Matinee, Closing Performance and Strike - we feed everyone between shows

The Virginia Avenue Project is a highly respected, 16-year-old
non-profit bringing underserved children together with professional
theatre artists for long term, one-on-one Arts mentoring. We start
working with our kids when they are 6 and they stay with us through
high school. Artists volunteer their talents and, in exchange,
receive a small stipend. The Sound Designer's stipend is $250. To
