India film festival on water seeks entries (deadline July 31)

Filmmakers of short films, documentaries, animation and feature films focusing on water are invited to enter the 4th International Film Festival on Water in Bangalore, India, which will be held from September 4 to 7. Deadline for entries: July 31.

The Festival on Water was established in 2005 and continues to serve as one of the largest, most diverse and dynamic platforms of debate, dialogue and celebration of water. It is sponsored by the Bangalore Film Society and various other organizations.

Entries should include a DVD of the film with English subtitles (if necessary), a completed entry form, three high-resolution stills of the film and a high-resolution photograph of the director.

Categories include: water scarcity, dams and the displaced, water harvest, water struggles/conflicts, floods and droughts, global warming and climate change, the impact of deforestation on water bodies, water, sanitation and health, and more.

After being premiered in Bangalore at the main event, selected films will be taken to educational institutions, NGOs, small towns and villages across India.
