For New Yorkers: Brooklyn artists’ opportunity

Dear Artists, Art Dealers, and Art Consultants:
We are seeking artists and musicians to be featured in a real estate
marketing campaign. We are assisting an innovative developer, Eli Karp,
with marketing several new developments in the Prospect Heights area. One
of the developments, “Hello,” consists of 6 buildings (soon to be 9) with 43
vacant units left. We’re looking to fill about 15 “gallery” spaces and 10
“staged” spaces. Please email me for additional details.
We also have another 36 unit building in the Prospect Heights/Crown Heights
area that’s almost complete and another 32 unit building in the Crown
Heights area that will be ready for marketing late spring/early summer, plus
numerous public areas including lobbies and roof decks for more durable art
and courtyards, 2000 SF lounge with bar, and 5000 SF garage for
entertainment. We are steering away from traditional print advertising and
engaging in a creative marketing campaign that involves about one to two
events per month that are videoed and featured on (1) the development
website (currently still under construction); (2) various social marketing
websites, including FaceBook, MySpace, and Twitter; and (3) press, including
150 blogs (real estate, art, architecture, etc.) with a total readership of
about 45 million and various mainstream media. Please see below or attached

There are various ways you can participate:
Art Walk: We are seeking artists to participate in upcoming Art
Walks, which may include both Eli’s developments and other nearby
developments. The artist will be assigned a vacant unit that s/he can use
as gallery space. The artist only has to be present for the Art
Walk/Opening Reception so guests and press may mingle with the artist and
the artist may be selected for a mini-documentary video. The first Art Walk
will be on Saturday, April 25, 2009. Depending on its success and the
number of interested artists, we will want to do a new Art Walk exhibit
every month so each artist installation is exhibited for at least 4 weeks.
Staging Apartments: We are seeking artists to provide art that will
be used to enhance various furnished model units. In addition to the
several amenties listed below, we are offering buyers furniture and art
credit so that they may purchase an apartment with furniture and art. Our
interior decorator will select the art that will enhance the model unit.
Music: We are seeking musicians to perform at the various events,
including a summer kick-off block party with fashion show.
Why you should work with us:
We are working with experienced event planners and producers who
have had great success with the events at alternative gallery space with
turnouts on average of 300 to 600 guests where featured artists have
successfully sold multiple art works.
Your art would be promoted through the above mentioned media as well
as thousands of real estate professionals and our network of over 15,000
registered real estate clients. Individuals who buy real estate will also
buy art, whether it’s for personal use or investment reasons.
There will be food, alcohol, and sometimes entertainment available
and the Art Walks will end with a social mixer at the infamous Hello Vegas
Lounge (you’ve got to see it to believe it).
